I'm looking for topiary style shrubs to plant in ground flanking my front door. I saw brush cherry topiary shrubs at my local Home Depot. Will this shrub take full sun in a hot summer location (Conroe, Texas)?

Brush cherry is native in Florida so it likes heat and humdity - but it won't tolerate frost. If the area in your garden that you'd like to plant it remains frost free, it should do just fine.
