| You can build your own retaining wall and there are tons of books on the subject. Since yours will be 5' high the blocks will need to be either cemented together or anchored with stakes driven through the openings in the blocks. There are several ways of anchoring, depending upon the material you use for your wall. Helpful folks at your garden center can explain the process to you and might even be able to work up a materials list. Check out the How To books in the book rack, too.
