Our lawn is a mess. We had a lot of snow this winter and when I raked the lawn, the grass literally peeled up. I have 10 ft in diameter spots of grass missing. How do I re-seed the lawn?

You've done the hard part of the job - raking out all the dead grass and roots. Now spread some compost over the areas and dig it in to help loosen the soil and help it drain well. Rake the areas level and overseed. The new grass should root well in the amended soil. Good luck with your lawn!
