The Q&A Archives: whats eating my pepper plants?

Question: something is eating my pepper plants that i just planted, what pest control should i use? i live in Fresno ca,

Answer: Since you're dealing with an edible crop I would be very careful about using pesticides - especially since you don't know exactly what the pest is. Try going out in the garden several times during the day and in the early evening or early morning to see if you can find out who'd munching. Once you determine what it is, you can use a biological control, depending upon the critter. Or, simply hand pick the pest. Best wishes with your garden!
