| You can harvest a few spears this year but leave most of them on the plants so they can grow into ferny foliage and help feed the roots. By next year your plants should be strong enough to produce a good crop. Harvest those that are thicker than a pencil but cutting them off at ground level. Enjoy your first few asparagus! |
