I recently purchased the black edging. It was much harder than I thought digging a long, narrow, straight 4in hole. Is there another options I can use which will keep mulch on the pathway I've made?

Edging is best, but you could line the pathway with bricks or lumber. Sometimes you can just pound the edging down into the soil. Start by making a straight line next to the pathway with a shovel and then try pounding the edging into it. It might help to soak the area the night before to make it easier to get the blade of the shovel all the way down into the earth. Good luck with your project!
