I just moved into my house in january and i want to start a garden. I'm wondering if there is still time or if its even worth putting additives into the soil for this year?

You absolutely have time to garden this year. Start by spreading 4-5 inches of compost or aged manure or other organic matter over the planting beds and digging it in to a depth of 8-10 inches. Level your soil and plant your seeds or plants. The organic matter will loosen the soil, help it hold moisture and release nutrients into the soil as it decomposes. Your gardens will look gorgeous!
