hi, i want to plant a Tamukeyama Maple tree in my backyard but my backyard is always saturated. what would be the best place to plant the tree?

If you want your new maple tree to thrive, build a mound and plant it high. While maples appreciate moist soil, saturated soils will suffocate its roots. So, make a mounded island bed, plant your maple and then plant some companion plants on the island to make it a focal point in your backyard.
