Some of the shrubs that do well in part shade in Colorado gardens include Azaleas, - Boxwood, Carolina Allspice, Enkianthus, Rose of Sharon, Oak Leaf Hydrangea, Japanese Holly, Kerria japonica, Leucothoe, Oregon Grape Holly, Pieris japonica, Rhododendron, Alpine Current, Snowberry and Viburnum rhytidophyllum.

Of these, holly, pieris, viburnum and kerria will make the best privacy screens.
