The Q&A Archives: Tulips

Question: When should I plant tulipbulbs to ensure blooms late March thru April?

Answer: Tulips are traditionally planted in October or November. You can plant them at two week intervals and with any luck their blooms will be staggered. You can't dictate exactly when they will bloom - when the soil warms sufficiently they will send their stems up to the surface.
