Can I use landscape fabric in a vegetable garden? Is it only used in a flower garden?

You can definitely use landscape fabric in your vegetable garden. I find the easiest way is to place the fabric over the entire bed and then cut slits, X's or holes in the fabric to accommodate the plants. The landscape fabric will keep weeds from sprouting and will also help slow water evaporation. The best part is that if you grow squash or melons, the fruit will remain cleaner without soil splashing over them when you water or when it rains. Good luck with your veggie garden!
