The Q&A Archives: Planting garlic

Question: How do I plant garlic from cloves

Answer: Gently break the whole garlic bulbs apart and separate into individual cloves, leaving the papery skin intact. Plant cloves pointy-side up about 1 to 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart. Plant in the fall for a spring harvest.
