I would like to spread seeds over an existing lawn. Do I put the seeds down first or do I put down scotts step 1 fertilizer first. and if putting the step 1 first how long do I need to wait before seeding?

You can do both on the same day. Start with the fertilizer then broadcast your seeds. Water everything down so the seeds make good contact with the soil. Best wishes with your lawn!
