I have moved to a condo & must do container plantings - will a clematis plant grow tall in one summer? & will it grow in a container?

Clematis will grow in a container but don't expect too much growth in a single year. If you want a fast growing vining plant, try sweet peas, hyacinth bean or scarlet runner beans. All will grow tall in a single season. They are annuals, though, so you will need to replant them every spring. Best wishes with your garden!
