I am in zone 5 and rosebushes are now in stores. When is the proper time to plant them?

If the rose bushes are bare root, you can plant them now. If they are in containers and already have spring growth on them, wait until the danger of frost has passed, or plant them now and plan on covering them at night if frost threatens. Enjoy your new roses!
