| Both of the above mentioned plants I have started in a flat and need to transplant to individual containers. Both are laying prone on the ground. Is this normal? When I transplant, should I plant a little deeper than what they are now growing? |
| It isn't unusual for the purple wave petunia to lay low to the ground, it can be used as a ground cover. The achillea concerns me, it should be more upright. Are the plants healthy? Growing, nice green color, no "weird" things on the soil like mold, mildew, etc.? Are the plants growing under lights, with the lights just an inch or two above the plants? Often plants fall over due to lack of light. If the plants look healthy, just tipped over, then I'd go ahead and try transplanting. But I worry that something is amiss. When you transplant it is imperative that you plant at the SAME level they were growing in the pots. This is very important. |
