| I'd like to plant seeds for inpatients. I want full beds, so do I dig down a certain amount and just shake the seeds evenly then cover? Or do I need to dig a hole and put a certain number of seeds in it? |
| It doesn't hurt for several seeds to wind up close together, but you'll need to thin the seedlings as they develop so each plant has plenty of room to grow. I mix my tiny seeds with sand and then sow them by sprinkling the mixture over the prepared soil. Just barely cover them with additional sand or with peatmoss. The sand helps separate the seeds, plus it shows me exactly where I've sown them. Hope this tip helps! |
