what kind of perrinnials can I plant in the upper south region. I live in Louisville, KY. Is there a tree I can plant that will give me shade, but is not very tall?

Some perennials suited for your gardening region include yarrow, columbine, daisy, rock cress, thrift, cornflower, coreposis, guara, globethistle, galliardia, daylily and rose mallow. Eastern Redbud or Pagoda Dogwood are both small trees that you might consider planting. good luck with your landscape.
