I need to redo a garden bed which has iris and roses. How can I do it without hurting the plants? Should I wait until the irises bloom?
Thanks

Irises typically are moved in August, after they have finished flowering. Roses can be moved in early spring without harm, or in late fall just as they are going dormant. You can move the irises now - but they may not flower. On the other hand, they just might! Decisions, decisions.
