Although it sounds as though you did everything right, your new pygmy palm seems to have suffered some stress. Transplant shock is usually temporary, especially with a little TLC. I hope your ceramic pot has good drainage and that the soil is moist but not soggy wet - these two things can lead to root rot. At this point, just give your palm some time to adjust to its new growing environment and it should perk up. Hope it's soon!
