| Unfortunately there is not a "one-size suits all" spray for your trees. Your trees will probably bud at different times. And there are problems that may be specific to each type of fruit, not to all of them. Because sprays can contain harmful chemicals, it is necessary to use them sparingly and only as needed. Timing is critical with early sprays so as not to harm the bees that are the pollinators for your fruit: no bees, no fruit. I would suggest you allow your trees to continue to bloom and develop with little if any chemical sprays. Many backyard gardeners are quite satisfied with the slightly less than perfect fruit, just so they are not tied down to the heavy spraying schedule that could prove harmful to the beneficial insects and birds in your garden. Your local library or county extension office should have more information on fruit growing if needed. |
