The Q&A Archives: Vegetables that thrive in parial sunlight or shade

Question: Need information on which begetables do well in partial sunlight or shaded areas. I have space which could be used for a potted garden.

Answer: Any vegetable that flowers and sets fruit needs at least 8 hours of direct sunshine so you'll need to plant veggies that tolerate shade such as beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, kale, leaf lettuce, mustard, bunching onions, peas, spinach, Swiss Chard, and turnips.
