Would like to plant a garden where lg dog previously did his duty. What can I do to prepare the soil for a nice garden after I remove all the feces?

Dog urine contains concentrated salts and can make the soil sterile so I would suggest scraping up the top few inches of soil then digging or tilling up the area and topping it with fresh topsoil and a layer of compost or other organic matter. Dig everything in and level the soil. Then you can plant your new garden knowing it will thrive. Best wishes with your garden.
