What kind of bushes to plant that are drought resistant, need little water and can be planted on the east side of the house.

Some drought tolerant shrubs for your gardening region include Glossy abelia (Abelia x grandiflora), Sweet Acacia (Acacia farnesiana), Southern bush honeysuckle (Diervilla sessilifolia), Coral bean, Cherokee bean (Erythrina herbacea), Gallberry (Ilex glabra) and yaupon holly (Ilex vomitoria).
