i planted some artichokes and something ate all the leaves? what can i do?

The most common pests are caterpillars and aphids. You can use Bt (bacillus thuringensis) to combat caterpillars or insecticidal soap to discourage aphids. Bt is sold as Dipel. Be sure to follow label directions. Best wishes with your artichokes.
