| Can I use round up around the bottom of the tree to get rid of the weeds and grass or will it kill the tree the tree is about 20 years old a maple but roots an weeds keep growing and I want to put in some hostas around it this year or impaitents what should I do??? | Round Up is a contact vegetation killer so if you spot treat individual weeds, it should not harm your tree. Don't use a broadleaf weed killer such as 2,4-D as it can harm your maple. Or, you can just hoe the weeds out and then plant your hostas and impatiens. |
