The Q&A Archives: Blueberrys

Question: Can I grow Blueberry bush in a large planter? if so what type soil and fertilizer should I use?

Answer: You can grow a blueberry plant in a large container. Use regular potting soil and add some peat moss (about two thirds potting soil, one third peat) to help lower the pH. Feed with a diluted solution of Miracid or other water soluable, acidified fertilizer. Use half-strength so you don't burn the roots of your containerized plant. Best wishes with your blueberry!
