The Q&A Archives: Bottlebrush Tree in Pot

Question: I just purchased a young 5 gal. 7 ft bottlebrush. It is the weeping type and single stalk (zone 9). Would it thrive if I plant it in a large pot.

Answer: You can grow yours in a large container. As the roots grow you'll need to upsize the container and use fresh potting soil, but as long as it gets sunshine and ample water, it will grow nicely in a large pot. Enjoy!
