The Q&A Archives: Apricot Tree

Question: My husband recently purchaes two Aprocot Goldcots from Home Depot. The tag tells us absolutly nothing about the type it is, eating, canning, color or size. Can you help me. Thanks!

Answer: Goldcot bears large crops of medium to large golden-skinned freestone fruits. Orange flesh is juicy and fine-textured with tangy flavor. Good for fresh eating, freezing and canning. Ripens mid-July to early August. One of the best for colder areas as buds have above average cold tolerance. It grows 20-30' high and 10-20' wide at maturity. Enjoy!
