After the snow has gone, we have very soft spots in our lawn. Probably due to moles or shrews. Any suggestions?

You can try trapping the rodents or you can just wait to see if they're gone now that the winter is over. The soft spots should be raked out and reseeded when the weather is warmer. Poor drainage can cause these spots but there's not much you can do to improve the drainage when your lawn is covered with snow! Best wishes with your lawn.
