I have 3 cat palms, they were thriving last summer but now they have little centipede like bugs in the dirt and the leaves are turning brown and drying out what can I do so they don't die off??? I want to transplant them to bigger planters and fertilize, when should I start?

Now's the time to repot your plants and remove the pesky critters living in the soil. Use fresh potting soil and brush or rinse the old potting soil off the roots of your palms to make sure you get rid of all the pests. Good luck with your palms!
