The Q&A Archives: jasmine

Question: I had jasmine planted eight yrs ago as ground cover. It has invaded my beds around shrubs but died where I wanted it. Can I spray weed killer to kill it without harming the indian hawthorns?

Answer: I'm afraid a broad leaf weed killer will affect your Indian Hawthorns, too. I'd just pull or dig it out and cover the soil with a weed barrier or landscape cloth to keep it from sprouting again. Good luck with your landscape!
