The Q&A Archives: Tulips.

Question: Are Tulip bulbs good for more than one season in my area?. I live in the Central Valley.

Answer: Tulips need a pronounced winter chill, something your gardening region cannot provide. You can dig the bulbs and store them in your refrigerator until December and replant, or you can toss the bulbs after they have bloomed and purchase new bulbs each winter.
