The Q&A Archives: Carnations

Question: How are carnation plants supposed to be pruned? They have not been pruned since last winter, I need to know what I should do now that it is spring. Thanks

Answer: You can prune out all the brown plant parts, even down to ground level, and they will develop new stems and flowers later this season.
