Aphids can be real pests and they are not easy to get rid of, but if you work diligently, you can control them. Hose your bougainvillea off periodically, both upper and undersides of leaves, with a strong stream of water. When the plant dries, spray thoroughly with Insecticidal soap. Repeat this every 3-4 days until all the aphids are gone.
