Hi. I inherited a small side garden that has deep holes in it due to rodents and want to use garden bricks to cover the whole garden to stop the rodents. I then want to start a container garden on top of the bricks. what do i use to full the holes and how do i lay the bricks? Thank you for your help and material list.

Use topsoil to fill in the holes. Depending upon how many holes you have to fill, you can dig the soil from other parts of the yard or you can purchase it in bags, or buy it in bulk from a local topsoil company. After filling in the holes, level the area. You will want to spread a sand base 2-3 inches thick and lay your bricks on the sand, moving them in the sand to set them level. When all the bricks are level and set close together, spread more sand over the tops of the bricks and sweep it into all the cracks. Then set your containers on top and begin your garden. Good luck with your project!
