Prune flowering shrubs immediately after they have finished flowering. If you're asking about turfgrass seeds, straight means a single cultivar such as Kentucky Bluegrass or Perennial Rye or whatever cultivar the package contains; blended means more than one cultivar in the package; and mixture means more than one cultivar in the package and the mixture is of both cool season and warm season grasses.
