I have some 'weeds' that come back every year in the Spring and they have a bulb at top of plant. Is this wild garlic (smells like) and is it edible?

Wild garlic and wild onion look similar to regular garlic and regular onions. They are edible in small quantities, but some species can cause stomach upset. A word of caution: there is a plant in the lily family called Black Snakeroot that has onion-like bulbs. This plant is poisonous. Be sure you have identified the plant as a true garlic or onion (Allium) before you eat it.
