Start by planting your tomatoes in a different garden spot this year and growing tomatoes with resistance to the common diseases. If you checkeach tomato variety listed in the catalog, or look on the backs of the seed packages you find in the store, you'll notice that some say "disease resistant, resists verticillium and fusarium wilts, etc." Pick the ones that appeal to you and seem to have the strongest statements concerning disease resistance. Burpee's Early Pick, Early Girl, Super Sweet 100, and Husky Gold look good, but I'm sure you will find others as well. Good luck with your tomatoes!
