Can you recommend some evergreen shrubs/hedges (preferably flowering) that will be suitable for full sun along a rail fence? Going for some privacy from the street running parallel to the fence, so at least 5-6 feet in height. Thanks.

Virginia Sweetspire in semi-evergreen and has fragrant flowers. It will retain its leaves unless the temperatures dip below 15F. Viburnums are evergreen and make perfect screening hedges. They flower in the spring. Tea olives (Osmanthus species) are also wonderfully fragrant evergreen shrubs. Hope one of these suggestions is just right for your landscape. Enjoy!
