Landscaping in shade - Knowledgebase Question

Have a bed next to a sidewalk. Gets AM sun-may be 2-3hrs. What shrubs, plants, etc should I plan for a nice bed? Would love some flowers/color.

Lots of perennials will grow in part sun:
Acanthus, Aconitum, Astilbe, columbine, campanula, dicentra (bleeding heart), Alpine Rock Cress (Arabis alpina), Sea Holly (Eryngium planum), Creeping Phlox (Phlox subulata), Ligularia (Ligularia dentata), Grayleaf Geranium (Geranium cinereum). For shrubs, consider Encore Azaleas, kalmia, pieris, hydrangea and viburnums.
