I planted some flower bulbs prior to the winter freeze. About 2 weeks ago they started flowering. Today they are gone and appear to have been eaten by an animal. Is the culprit birds or deer? How can I prevent this from happening? I am also concerned that the same will happen to my vegetable garden. |
It could be deer or it could be hungry bunnies. Deer and bunnies rarely eat daffodils but tulips and other delicacies are irresistable to them. You can try applying a deterrent such as Deer Away to your garden area, or you may need to make a hoop out of chicken wire to protect the newly emerging foliage. Hope this helps! |
