Sure! You can use large planters or even make your own planter boxes for color in your yard. You will want to choose containers with drainage holes in the bottom and elevate them so excess water can flow freely from the bottoms of the containers. Use rocks or decorative feet (found in the garden center) to raise the containers off the concrete. Use potting soil for your plants and choose plants that thrive in heat and sunshine (providing it's a sunny area!) because plant roots can bake in containers if the summer sun is hot and it reflects off the concrete. Best wishes with your new garden!
