I get impatient waiting for my bulb plants to dry out and turn yellow once they are done. Is there anything else I can do with them and still have them for next year?

Also, does Burpee have a book on Herbs and different ways to plant them?

We all get impatient waiting on that messy foliage to dry up enough to cut down. Unfortunately, there isn't a thing you can do short of interplanting with some annuals to hide the mess. As you know, if you cut it down prematurely or interfere with it by braiding or tying it down, you compromise the bulbs' health. It is safe to cut it down after 6 wks. or total browning, whichever comes first.

Burpee has a book called "The Complete Vegetable and Herb Gardener" which you might find helpful. You can order by calling 800-888-1447.
