Here are some varieties developed and suited for growing in the your region: Hardy Chicago, Tennesee Mountain (also known as Celeste); and Black Jack; others that are widely adapted are Mission and Flanders. Most of these were recently available from Chestnut Hill Nursery, Rt. 1 Box 341, Alachua FL 32615; ph# 914/669-2067. Check locally grown nursery selections as well -- enjoy!
