The Q&A Archives: Fertilizing Corn

Question: What type of fertilizer do you use on your corn plants?

Answer: A general purpose 10-10-10 is fine for corn, either as a side dressing for a few plants or you can use 2-3 pounds of fertilizer for each 100 square feet of garden area. Spread the fertilizer evenly over the soil. Work it into the soil 3-4 inches deep. Rake the soil to smooth the surface. Hope you have a bountiful harvest!
