So...I have so many tiny veggies growing in my house and need to know when I can put them outside? I live in NY. Also I tried to start corn and okra inside to no avail, is it better to just start them outside? I also have rats and cannot remove their nest. Any eco friendly ideas on how to get rid of them?

You can set your veggies out about the first week of May. Corn doesn't transplant well so plant your corn and your okra directly outdoors. About the only solution to rats is a trap. Once the rats are gone you can remove the nest and plug up any holes they are using to access your home from the outside. Wish I had more solutions for you!
