What is a good way to start a garden on a balcony? I have tried once before and was not able to keep it up. I work 2 jobs and go to school full itme. Any suggestions.

The key to keeping plants on a balcony healthy and happy is in choosing the types of plants that grow best in the sunshine exposure your balcony gets, using containers with adequate drainage and filling them with potting soil, especially potting soils with moisture pellets that help retain moisture. Plants in containers can dry out quickly so it is important to check the watering needs. If you can water every morning before you head out the door, I think you'll have more success with your plants. And, choosing drought tolerant plants can help, too. Best wishes with your garden!
