Last September I aerated my yard and over seeded it along with applying a starter fertilizer as recommended by Scotts. As I walk around the yard, I have not noticed any new growth in the light areas and there seems to be more bare spots. What do I need to do this spring?

The seeds should germinate when the weather warms this spring. If not, you may need to rake the bare areas and reseed again. Sometimes winter kill is responsible for the loss of young grass that has not fully established its root system. Try reseeding again this spring to ensure good coverage this growing season.
