The Q&A Archives: Indoor Garden

Question: How do I start an indoor garden. I have the potting soil and the starting pots. Is there anything else I will need?

thanks sharon streat

Answer: I think the only thing left is to purchase your plants. Start by determining the amount of natural light that you can provide and then choosing the plants that will grow best in that light. For instance, low light areas will support ferns and lots of foliage plants like pothos and ivy; medium light areas are good for ficus, dracaena and palms, bright light areas (near windows) are perfect for African violets, orchids and other blooming plants. Enjoy your new garden!
